ERKO CHILLI SAUCE COMPETITION

Open to all Solotel staff

We've decided to take over from The Bank and hold their annual Chilli Fest at The Erko on Saturday, September 17. As part of the event, we're holding the Erko Chilli Sauce Competition.

Your challenge is to create your very own chilli sauce. Here's how it works 👇

Step 1 - ASAP

Step 2 - Monday, August 8

We will supply you with chilli peppers and a bottle; these can be collected from your venue the week after registering interest.

Step 3

Get cooking! The one rule is that your sauce MUST include the peppers we supply you. Everything else is up to you. You may also use any other chillis or flavours you like;Things like citrus, vinegar, fruit, sugar and other seasonings. Get creative! 👩‍🍳

Step 4 - Collection Wednesday, August 24

Bring the sauce back to your venue with a printed piece of paper, including the following...

A name for your sauce

A detailed list of ingredients

A detailed method of exact measurements (this will come in handy if you get selected to go into the second round)

Food or drink pairing options.

Please make sure it's very clear which ingredients go with which bottle. We suggest putting your name and venue on the piece of paper and chilli sauce.

Step 5

We will collect your sauce from your venue, which will then be judged by a panel of experts from The Erko. A shortlist of the best sauces will be chosen, and if that's you will be notified. Please note, if you are chosen, you will be expected to reproduce 1 Litre of your sauce. We would also like you to come to the chilli fest day and join in on the fun & games,

Step 5 - Satuday 17 September,

At 3pm on Saturday, a sauce winner will be determined by public vote. You could be crowned the next Chilli Champ, win a $500 Solotel voucher, get your sauce replicated and sold in the venue and get ya mug on the Wall of Flame

This challenge is an opportunity to showcase your creativity within the Solotel family and show guests at Chilli Fest what Solotel employees have to offer in the chilli department.If you're interested, please submit your details via the below form by Sunday, August 7.
